Google Tag Manager is a service that allows users some access to uploading scripts to their website and setting which pages they show on without needing to edit code directly. In this article we are going to show the steps of setting up Google Tag Manager for your website.
Note: Floranext can help you add Google Tag Manger to your site but we cannot manage your Google Tag Manager dashboard for you.

Steps For Setting Up Google Tag Manager
You can setup a shop's Google Tag Manager by following these steps:
- Login to Google Tag Manager. If you haven't already click here for instructions.
- If you haven't already, click Create a Container. This will prompt you to register you domain.
- Enter the domain name as the Container Name and select Web as the Target Platform
- Click the Create button
- From here you can select Okay. Floranext does not need any HTML for this setup.
- Now copy your Container ID from the top right hand corner. This will be used to connect your Floranext system to your Google Tag Manager.
- In Floranext to Settings > Website Settings > SEO > Show Advanced Settings > Google Tag Manager on the Floranext POS
- Paste the ID into the field provided
Note: You may need to contact Floranext support to add the key to your instance if you cannot access the setting listed above.
- Click Save
With those steps complete you should now have successfully added Google Tag Manager to your Floranext website. It may take a bit of time for data to begin being recorded on your Google Tag Manager page.
Tag Manager & Google Analytics
IMPORTANT: Google Analytics does offer integration with Google Tag Manager. However, to ensure that your able to track conversions without any customization of your website, Floranext recommends that you setup your Google Analytics through our SEO Settings page.

Note: By default if you set up Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager instead of through Floranext, you will NOT be able to track product information or completed orders.
