Flower Shop Network Integration Overview

Modified on Thu, 7 Sep, 2023 at 4:29 PM

Flower Shop Network (FSN) is an independent wire service, connecting flower shops to allow shops to take orders from their shops and then send to another shop for order design/delivery in a different part of the country.

FSN is "independent" because it focuses on flower shops sending orders to other flower shops, they do not have a prominent consumer brand like Teleflora or FTD.

How to Receive FSN Website Order

***Florists in Canada are responsible for processing their customer's credit card. Payment info can be found by logging into fsnf2f.com***

*** After logging in, click on "Orders Received" ( left hand side ) > Click on the Order ID > scroll down to the bottom right to see the Payment Information***

New FSN Website Order Notifications

If you have an FSN website, your FSN website orders will import to Floranext similarly to a florist-to-florist order.

FSN website orders will be automatically accepted once they arrive in Floranext.

FSN notification options include text message and/or email (phone call not available for website orders)

In Floranext, a yellow banner will appear at the top of the admin indicating there's a 'Flower Shop Network order that has not been printed". Click the banner to view and print the order.

FSN Website Order Canceling or Refusing

It is rare to refuse a website order, since most times you'll want to call the customer and review needed substitutions, but should a refusal be required, click the Refuse button in the FSN Order Information section.

The Refuse button will be available up until the delivery date of the order and will send refusal to FSN and cancel the order in Floranext.

Warning! Clicking the 'Cancel' in Floranext will not cancel the order with FSN and is not recommended. A pop-up warning of this will occur if Cancel is selected.

FSN Website Order Price Changes or Editing

Editing an FSN order in Floranext will not update FSN with the order changes. Call FSN to make changes to an FSN order, then adjust the order in Floranext to match.

If FSN needs to adjust the order, you may need to refuse the order in Floranext, so FSN can send it back to you with the changes. Alternatively, FSN can give you the changes by phone and you can edit your order in Floranext if refusal can't be completed for any reason. A pop-up warning of this will occur if Cancel is selected.

FSN Wire Out Order Management

Canceling or editing an FSN Wire Out order in Floranext will not send the update to FSN or the filling florist. You must call FSN to cancel or edit an order after it's already been completed in Floranext.

Only after you've contacted FSN should you edit or cancel the order in Floranext to make records match.

Incoming Orders (Both Types)

There are 2 different types of incoming orders we will discuss here, florist-to-florist and FSN website orders.

Receiving FSN Florist-to-Florist (F2F) Incoming Orders

New order notification will occur as normal from FSN (options are phone call, text and/or email) and Floranext will display yellow banner on top.

Click the yellow banner to view the order, or go to Orders, where FSN order will show in blue, and click to view the Order Details.

On the Order Details page, click Accept or Refuse as applicable and print the order to fill!

Pickup vs. Delivery Orders

In Floranext, all FSN incoming orders will show Delivery Type as 'Delivery'. If you allow Pickup orders to be placed on your FSN website, in Floranext, the Recipient Address of the order will be your shop's address and the Special Delivery Instructions will say 'Pickup at Shop' even though the Floranext Delivery Type will remain 'Delivery'.

Order Time Out

Once an incoming order is sent to your shop, you'll have 30 minutes (or other time period FSN determines) to accept or refuse the order.

If you do not accept or refuse the order within this time period, the order will time out and will change to canceled status in Floranext. FSN may resend the order to your shop if this happens.

Order Resends

If the order times out or is refused, FSN may send the order back to your shop. The order will appear as a new order in Floranext since the original order will have Canceled status.

Order Price Changes or Edits

If FSN needs to adjust the order, you may need to refuse the order in Floranext, so FSN can send it back to you with the changes. Alternatively, FSN can give you the changes by phone and you can edit your order in Floranext in refusal can't be completed for any reason. A pop-up warning of this will occur if Cancel is selected.

Warning! Editing the order in Floranext will not send the updates to FSN and is not recommended. A pop-up warning will occur if edit is selected.

Order Refusal

FSN incoming orders may be refused even after accepted up until the delivery date of order. By clicking the Refuse button in the FSN Order Information section. Clicking Refuse will send refusal to FSN and cancel the order in Floranext.

Warning! Clicking the 'Cancel' in Floranext will not cancel the order with FSN and is not recommended  as it will only cancel the order in Floranext. A pop-up warning of this will occur if Cancel is selected.

Sending Wire Out to FSN

To send a Wire Out order to FSN, select Wire Out for order type.

Enter the total of the product in the product price field.

  • US Shops: For an FSN Wire Out order, the Product Subtotal + Delivery Charge on the Take Order page will be the amount sent to the filling florist (in the US only). The Wire Service Fee and tax will be retained by you, the sending florist, and not included in the order total that is sent to the filling florist.

For example, the order total sent to FSN would be $58.00 (50.00 Product + 8.00 Delivery)

  • Canadian Shops: For an FSN Wire Out order, the Product Subtotal + Delivery Charge + Tax of Product and Delivery on the Take Order page will be the amount sent to the filling florist. The Wire Service Fee and tax on the Wire Service Fee will be retained by you, the sending florist, and not included in the order total that is sent to the filling florist.

For example, if you are located in British Columbia and the order is being delivered in Alberta

    $50.00 Product (GST applies)
$8.00 Delivery (GST applies)
$10 Wire Fee (GST + PST applies)
The total sent to FSN would be $60.90, that is $58.00 + $2.90 GST

Select FSN and choose to let FSN Auto-Select or Choose Florist from list of filling florists in the recipient's area.

Complete the order and you will see the FSN order number on the completed order page.

You can always login to FSNf2f.com to view orders sent and received.

The Delivery Charge will automatically be calculated at the bottom where it shows the total.

(Please note: You can always edit the Delivery Charge by typing in the new amount into the text box next to "Delivery Charge")
