Apply Tax on Delivery 


To set up Tax on Delivery, navigate to Settings  > Tax.

Under the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page, you can choose to apply Tax by Destination on POS, Website, or both.


If Yes is chosen, the tax rate applied to the order will default to the zip code of the recipient's address.


Note: For pickup orders placed on the website, the system will apply the default tax rate for web orders.



Creating Additional Tax Rates


In the Tax Rates section on the Tax Manager, add any number of municipal tax rates. Don't forget to save!


Trying Tax Rates to Delivery Zip Codes


After saving your tax rate settings, navigate to Settings > Delivery > Delivery Charge.


Add zip codes to your delivery charges, or edit existing zip code delivery charges. If you followed the previous steps correctly, you should find a named tax rate under the Sales Tax Rate dropdown menu. Choose the appropriate tax rate for the zip code.


Don't forget to save your changes!


Checking Tax Owed to Different Municipalities


Navigate to Reports > Sales Report and set the range of dates as desired.


Click Show Advanced Options (in blue) to view your different tax rates.


From here you may check or uncheck any number of local tax rates and click Create Report to see what tax is owed to each local tax area.
