Setting Up Loyalty Points
First, in your Floranext dashboard, navigate to Settings > POS Settings > Loyalty Points.
Set Loyalty Points to Yes, choose the amount you want your customers to spend before they begin earning points, then set the amount of points earned for every $100 your customer spends.
This is all you have to do to enable loyalty points. Points will automatically be tracked for each customer.
A couple points to keep in mind:
- Customers will not start accumulating Loyalty Points until after they are enabled by the above process
- The Take Order screen will show each customer's total spending and how much more they need to spend to start earning loyalty points
How The System Calculates Points
Customers earn 1 point per amount spent starting at $100, excluding tax
- Spend $100 get 100 points
- Spend $275 get 275 points
At a 5% value, 100 points = $5
Say the Customer has 225 Points saved up. This will equal $11.25. The reason being, 200 points = $10 + 25 points (which is 1/4 of 100) will equal $1.25 (which is 1/4 of $5)
Using Loyalty Points
If a customer chooses to redeem their loyalty points, you can go to the Take Order tab and prepare an order like normal.
Note: Don't forget to select the customer from the Search Customer field so that it pulls up the customer profile with loyalty points.
In the Order Total box, you will now see an option to redeem loyalty points.
If the customer would like to use their points for this order, just select Yes in the dropdown box and then click Take Payment on the order as normal. The value of the points will be credited toward the order.
