When it comes to the different versions of the Floranext software, there is a host of functional differences between the iPad app version available in the App Store, and the "web" version that you run in your browser on a laptop or desktop computer.
It's important to note that while the iPad app is optimized for a smooth checkout experience at the point of sale, some settings, features, and pages can only be accessed through the browser version.
See below for a list of features you'll need to log into the desktop browser app to use optimally!
All reports are only accessible on the Reports tab of the desktop browser version of Floranext.
Like Reports, most system settings must be updated from the desktop browser version.
Only the desktop browser app will notify you with the following methods:
- Ringing alarm for new web orders
- Top bar notifications for FSN wire-ins, standing orders, in-admin messages, and the onboarding checklist
You can apply a gift card to an order in the iPad app, but creating gift card records requires the desktop browser version.
Loyalty points can be added to a customer account if loyalty points are enabled in your system, but they can only be redeemed for a discount in the desktop browser version currently.
House accounts can be created in the iPad app, but payments can only be applied in the desktop browser version.
You can view the Deliveries page, change order status, and view routes in the iPad app, but to create new routes you will need to log into the desktop browser version.
