First Things First
There are a few details and settings you should customize before entering your first proposal.
If you have integrated credit card processing through a Floranext POS or website, this step has been taken care of already. If not, you'll need a way to accept payments on proposals (see "Credit Card Processing Options For Flower Shops Using Floranext Websites or POS",) otherwise payments you enter will be recorded in the system for reporting purposes only.
To set your local tax for proposals, go to Settings > Tax Rate. If you're new to Floranext, see this article for help setting up your tax rate.
Below, as you get started with the Proposal Manager, there are a few pages in the Floranext dashboard to familiarize yourself with.
You can access your settings under Settings > Proposal Settings > Proposal Settings.
Refer to this guide for a more comprehensive explanation of each setting.
Note that changes to some of these settings will only be visible on new proposals! Make sure you have markup entered before creating a new proposal.
Click Proposals on the main dashboard to access your proposals. This area is where you can create and update proposals, as well as print and email completed proposals to clients.
The proposal "pipeline" helps you track your proposals by number at each step along the way: All Proposals, Schedule Consultation, Send Estimate, Confirmed Proposal, Complete Proposal, and Proposal Sent. You will be able to click any of these headings to view all proposals at that stage.
Creating a Proposal
From the Proposals page, you can click Create New and choose Wedding or Event to generate a new proposal.
