Coupons are a powerful way to attract customers, boost sales, and encourage repeat business. Whether offering discounts, seasonal promotions, or special deals, well-planned coupons can enhance your marketing strategy. In this article, we’ll explore how to create, manage, and optimize coupons effectively.

Creating Coupons

Coupons can be created for a limited number of uses or duration of use.

In your Floranext dashboard, navigate to Marketing ➜ Coupons and click Add New Coupon.

On this page, you can set the name of the coupon, the number of uses, and dates. If you want unlimited dates or uses, just leave these fields blank.

Here, you will also create a unique coupon code to provide to your customers.

Note: Uses per Customer will limit the uses a signed in customer can make use of the coupon. It will not affect the uses for guest checkouts.

You will need to create a unique coupon code for each coupon.

Conditions

In the conditions section, you will be adding the rule the coupon user must follow.

Click the green plus button, and select Product Attribute Combination.

Now, select the secondary green plus button.

You can now select your product or cart attribute. Here, we will select Product Category. Now, click the ellipsis, enter your category, and click the green check mark.

Note: These rules will determine if the coupon can be used on the order when checking out and not which products will be affected by the coupon.

Actions

Here, we will select the discount amount for our coupon.

There are 4 types of Discounts you can set in the Apply field:

  • Fixed amount discount for whole cart - this is the only discount that applies to both Website products and Add-on Products.
  • Fixed amount discount - Applies a fixed amount discount to the Website Products in the customer's Shopping Cart.
  • Percent of price discount - Applies a percentage-based discount to the Website Products in the customer's Shopping Cart.
  • Buy X get Y free- Discount amount is Y.

In this example, we will select Percentage of Product Price, and enter 50 for percentage.

Note: If you wish for the coupon to only affect products of a specific type you can do so by setting the rules in this section. Leaving the rules empty will have all products in the cart affected by the coupon.

In the section, you may also select additional conditions for delivery. This can include free delivery for added conditions.
