Holiday pricing helps businesses adjust for seasonal demand, ensuring profitability while managing increased costs. Whether implementing surcharges, special discounts, or limited-time offers, strategic pricing can maximize sales and customer satisfaction. In this article, we’ll explore best practices for setting and managing holiday pricing effectively.
How to Activate Holiday Pricing
Start by navigating by going to Products ➜ Categories.
On the left-hand side of the screen click on the category you wish to add Holiday Pricing to. For this example, we will click on Valentine's Day.
Information you will fill in:
- Price increase - Percentage or Dollar Amount
- First Delivery Date - When do you want the Holiday Pricing to take effect?
- Last Delivery Date - When do you want the Holiday Pricing to stop?
- Holiday Pricing Message (Optional) - Explanation to customers that will appear on the website product detail page on why the price changed
- This message will ONLY show if selected delivery date is in the Holiday Pricing range
- Example message - "Prices are higher for this delivery date due to higher flower costs."
- Save - Don't forget to hit save!
How to Turn Off Holiday Pricing
Holiday Pricing is based on the Order Delivery/Pickup date. In setting up your holiday pricing you selected the end date. The system will automatically turn off Holiday Pricing based on the date selected.
If you want to end Holiday Pricing early, simply go into Holiday Price settings and change the date.
