How to Buy a Strip EMV Credit Card Reader
Already using Stripe with Floranext? You can buy one or more Stripe credit card readers:

How to Setup You Reader Step 1: Access Stripe Dashboard
To setup your BBPOS Wise POS E Reader, first navigate to your Stripe Dashboard. (Need help finding the Stripe Dashboard login? Click here)
Once you have logged in to your dashboard:
- Navigate to Payments tab
- Select Terminal ➜ Locations on left hand side
- If no location has been added, do so now by select "+ Location"
- Then select "+ Reader"
How to Setup Your Reader Step 2: Accessing Your Wise Reader
Now that you have a location setup in your Stripe Dashboard, and you have navigated to their reader registration form, grab your BBPOS Wise POS E Reader and follow these steps to make sure your device is fully setup:
- If you haven't already be sure to install the battery.
- Ensure your device is fully charged
- Hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on
and wait for the device to fully turn on and update. - After any updates, you should be able to use the Reader now.
- Then open the settings menu, swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal a Settings button. Tap the Settings button and enter the admin PIN 07139. From here, you can update your WiFi settings or generate a pairing code for device registration.
- Next, Go to the BBPOS Wise POS E settings, and then tap Generate pairing code.
- Now go back to your Stripe dashboard to fill in the Registration code, which will generate by the reader.
With your reader setup complete you should now be able to use it when taking payments on your POS.

The BBPOS WisePOS E cannot be connected through a hotspot.
- The BBPOS WisePOS E must be on the same internet connection as your desktop Point of Sale to connect to Floranext.
Completing a Payment Using Your Reader
The EMV Reader can be used to take credit card payments from the Take Order Page, House Account Page, Subscription/Standing Orders Page, as well as the COD and Duplicate Order payment views.
To use your EMV Reader to complete a payment make your way to the Take Payment Popup view on any of the locations listed above. Then select Credit Card as the payment method and be sure to have the Use Reader toggle enabled. IWhen the toggle is enabled a dropdown will be shown on the payment popup.
The dropdown will list all currently available connected EMV Readers, if the selected reader is not connected a message will appear to inform the shop the reader is not connected at the moment.
Note: The dropdown will automatically default to the last reader from the list which was used for a transaction. Similar to the Employee Auto-Select setting.
If you currently do not have an EMV reader enabled the dropdown will be displayed with the option No Reader Available displayed. There will be an info bubble present with the message "Please be sure your reader is registered to a location in Stripe and that this computer and your reader are on the same internet connection. Set Use Reader to No, then back to Yes to retry connecting.".
Once the your reader has been selected you can click the Complete Order button, a popup will appear on the POS to let you know that the reader is ready to scan a credit card. After the card has been read you will be taken to the Order Details screen just as you normally would after completing a POS transaction.

Q: Can I have more than one BBPOS Wise POS E Reader on my Floranext Desktop?
- A: Yes, Floranext Support may need to assist in enabling this option for you but Floranext now supports using more than one BBPOS Wise POS E Reader for the Desktop Point of Sale
Q: How many BBPOS Wise POS E Readers can I have at a time?
- A: Floranext does not have a limit on the number of readers you may have at a time.
Q: Does the BBPOS Wise POS E Reader work with the Credit Card Surcharge feature?
- A: Yes, if you use Floranext's Credit Card Surcharge feature for Stripe payment processing, after your customer applies their credit card to the reader you will receive an additional popup to confirm applying the Credit Card Surcharge. Note: If the card used is a Debit or Prepaid gift card you will not receive the Credit Card Surcharge popup as only Credit Cards may be surcharged. For more information on the Surcharge read here.
Q: Is the BBPOS Wise POS E Reader available in Canada?
- A: Yes, the BBPOS Wise POS E Reader is available in Canada. Note: For Canadian Debit/Interac card payments, the card must be present to make refunds. This is to follow Canadian processing regulations. This is not required in the US.
Q: Does the BBPOS Wise POS E Reader only work with Wifi networks?
- A: The BBPOS Wise POS E Reader can connect via ethernet if you purchase the Dock accessory from Stripe's online hardware store. If you are having difficulty establishing a connection between your BBPOS Wise POS E Reader and the Floranext desktop Point of Sale, a wired, ethernet connection may be the best solution for you.
Q: Is the BBPOS Wise POS E Reader supported everywhere on the Floranext desktop Point of Sale?
- A: The BBPOS Wise POS E Reader is supported on POS Advanced packages for the Take Order Page, House Account Page, Subscription/Standing Orders Page, as well as the COD and Duplicate Order payment views. Note: The BBPOS Wise POS E Reader is not available on Proposal Payments.
