Adding Category

Navigate by going Settings ➜ Reporting Categories.

We have a number of categories set up by default. You can add your own by clicking Add Category. Now select the category name and status; enabled or disabled. 

Helpful Tips: Create categories like "Spoilage and Waste" to help with reporting.

Reporting

When you are taking an order on the Point of Sale, make sure to select a product category

Navigate to Reports ➜ Product Category Reports to see sales by category.
