How To Run A Card That Requires Verbal Authorization
Modified on: Thu, Jul 14, 2016 at 12:23 AM
Some credit cards require a verbal authorization, which means the card issuer must authorize the transaction via phone at the time of the sale. The card issuer should be called and the amount authorized.
Next all you need to do is attempt to process the card again. It can sometimes take up to 15 minutes from the time you call until the authorization is fully complete and the card will successfully process through the credit card network.
