You've contacted your Floranext representative and scheduled your POS install!...but now what?
There are three things that you will need to do prior to your POS Install:
- Download Google Chrome.
- Download Join Me.
- Make sure all hardware is connected, installed properly & working.
Step 1: Download Google Chrome
(if you are on a Mac, you can skip this step and we will use Safari on your computer)
Floranext works best when using Google Chrome. For this reason, if you do not have Google Chrome on your computer already, you will need to download it.
- Go to: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html
- Click on the "Download Chrome" button.
- When prompted, you may need to select "Run" or double-click on the downloaded file.
That's it! Google Chrome will do everything else.
Step 2: Download JoinMe
When your install begins, your Floranext representative will be using JoinMe to remotely connect into your computer so they can configure your browser and printer settings. In order to do this, you will need to have JoinMe installed.
- Go to join.me (If you get a "Your connection is not private" warning, click on "Advanced" at the bottom of the page and then "Proceed to www.joinme.com")
- Click "Free Trial" at the top bar.
- Create a login username/password. (Pleaste note: It is VERY IMPORTANT that you remember this login information as we will be using JoinMe quite a bit on your computer when offering customer support and you want to be able to log into the program at any time.)
- Click "Start A Meeting" and your download will start.
- Double click or "Run" the program and this will prompt the program to open.
That's it! JoinMe is now fully installed on your computer and ready for us to use.
Step 3: Make sure all hardware is properly connected, installed and working.
During the install we will be configuring any superticket printers, receipt printers, cash drawers or credit card swipers that you have.
Before your scheduled install, please make sure that all of your hardware is properly connected, installed and working! - otherwise we will not be able to efficiently configure your settings.
